After Gold Coast, my next stop is Brisbane. There are so many friends of mine living here. I have some fun time with them, luckily.
Brisbane is a friendly city. Both city and people here. Maybe many Asian live here or people who live in the tropical place are more nice than the cold place. Some place which decorates even looks like Bangkok or Bali. I stayed just two days, so I just provide some tips to see Brisbane.
1. Mt Coot-Tha Lookout
Take bus route 471 in Adelaide Street and head to here. See timetable here. It takes approximately 25 minutes and 4.6 AUD. Travel with Go Card just 3.2 AUD. High point of Brisbane. Great view of city. Pick a sunny day here.
Want to see the river across the Brisbane? Here is a free ferry, CityHopper. Timetable here. Great view of sunset in the city. Hard to get roof seat. However, it’s a good way to get used to Brisbane.
3. South Bank
You can take a wheel or ferry here. However, there are more stuffs you can do here, such as swim in the streets beach, which is man-made beach. Attraction like Nepalese Pagoda and rain forest. Go along with river side, while you see something interesting in the road, just follow your gut to see what it is.
It situates at South Bank’s Cultural Precinct, two building included. It’s suitable for family. They design many games and places to educate children with fun. Even you’re an adult, it’s not hard to love this place. Let’s play and scream here. I love ‘No.1 Neighbour: Art in Papua New Guinea 1966-2016‘, which presents what is the source of sea and where life begins.
5. West End
There are so many interesting restaurants here. Atmosphere is very good. I enjoy sitting in the Miss Bliss Whole Foods Kitchen. Breeze wind and healthy food. What a wonderful morning.
